It is an honor to have a front row seat in the important and remarkable journey America is on. Energy is no longer something people blindly rely on – it’s analyzed, argued
over, and will shape how future generations function on
a daily basis.

There’s no doubt, one day our country will run on renewable fuel sources. But “one day” isn’t today, tomorrow or even 20 years from now. Wind and solar energy provide less than 2% of America’s power. If everything goes perfectly (and there are trillions of dollars of government subsidies), this number can increase to 15% by 2030.

America will win the day with the fuel sources that made us the greatest economic engine in the world: oil and natural gas. And with vast new discoveries of natural gas within the borders of our country, we have the opportunity to make a significant dent in the $25,000,000,000 we spend each month on foreign oil.

Debates will rage on and opinions will sway. But our nation will not skip a beat. Because today – and more than 125 years from now – America will count on the abundant energy resources found right here, under our feet.
