The Oklahoma Energy Resources Board (OERB) represents the very best of the Oklahoma oil and natural gas industry. Funded by voluntary contributions from Oklahoma producers and royalty owners since 1994, the OERB restores abandoned well sites across the state. The OERB also provides free educational training and tools to Oklahoma schools.
For Brothers, the OERB is where it all began – our presence in America’s energy dialogue is unequivocally thanks to their confidence in our ability to “get it.” They introduced us to this remarkable, ever-evolving industry, and we are forever grateful.
We are passionate about raising awareness of the OERB’s dedication to our state. This industry is and has been the backbone of Oklahoma for more than a century.

The media today is overflowing with contradictory assertions about energy. Those messages only serve to further cloud the debate. Our task was simple: to cut through the clutter as simply and straightforwardly as possible. That is, to tell the plain, unadorned truth. Utilizing a graphics-heavy style and dynamic animation, the result is a spot that was both quick to produce – and powerful on impact.
Yes
Even as America, and the world, struggles through the worst economic downturn in decades, certain irrefutable facts remain. Global energy demand is only increasing. And oil and natural gas will continue to be the world’s primary energy sources for decades to come. As Americans, we face a simple choice: buy more and more from overseas – or produce it ourselves. This flagship spot from the new OERB campaign brings a rare strength of message to bear, in an equally rarified television format: the ninety-second spot.
Energy to Be Brave
America is accustomed to energy advertising and the prevailing talking points of the industry. They’re not accustomed to empowerment. Tell someone America is an energy superpower and you’ll likely raise an eyebrow. This spot, clearly and straightforwardly, reminds us who we are as a people, with Oklahoma’s oil and natural gas industry helping to lead the way.
Advancing Energy
Microsites are nothing new. For this campaign, however, we wanted to go beyond the token echoing broadcast and print – and create a dynamic information resource for the public. This new site brings together all the current events from the world of energy in a very intuitive, easily accessible interface. And we’ve gone the extra step of integrating custom Facebook tabs to promote the microsite on the world’s largest social network.

Without the luxury of sound or moving pictures, the print component of this campaign nevertheless seeks to be just as relevant and impactful. Utilizing bold, positive colors and progressive imagery, we sought to clearly communicate the core messaging of the campaign, showing that America’s oil and natural gas industry is moving bravely forward – under Oklahoma’s leadership.
